The name
You hear it in joie de vivre — the joy of living — and in bon vivant, one who lives well. In the French that still hums through Acadiana's kitchens and dance halls, vivant means alive. We put it on the door because it's the standard every meal has to meet: does this help somebody live — longer, better, happier? If not, it doesn't leave our kitchen.
Our mission
Our vision
Our promise
What we offer
Vivant makes longevity delicious — chef-crafted, dietitian-built meals with the protein, fiber, and blood-sugar smarts of a performance diet and the soul of home cooking, delivered with the kind of care that feels like someone's looking out for you.
The words we live by
| What we say | What it means |
|---|---|
| “More life in every meal.” | The tagline — flavor, energy, and years, all in one promise |
| “Made for living.” | The support line — not “diet food,” not slowing down: food as fuel for the life you're still busy living |
| “For those seeking a longer, fuller life — meals made for living.” | The one-line descriptor of the brand |
| The Louisiana Longevity Diet | Our food philosophy: keep the soul of Cajun and Creole cooking, rebuild the science underneath — read it here |
| “Long live the small town.” | Every meal is sourced, cooked, and delivered locally — jobs, training, and care staying in the towns that raised us |
The brand ladder, one idea at five altitudes: Vivant → “More life in every meal.” → “Made for living.” → mission → vision.
Why we exist
New Iberia has lost more than one in eight of its people since 2010, while one in five of our neighbors is now over 65 — many managing diabetes in one of the highest-prevalence states in America. And yet this is the home of gumbo, étouffée, and court-bouillon: food so good people cross oceans for it, while our elders were being handed bland, beige “senior meals.” Vivant is the answer to both — the elders and the town. One town, fed and employed by its own food; prove it in New Iberia, then take it to every small town that's been told its best days are behind it.
